Which Bengaluru digital marketing agencies already sell AEO or GEO, and what Google's own guidance says it requires

Five Bengaluru agencies now sell AEO or GEO as a service. Checked against Google's May 2026 guidance on what that work actually requires.

A growing number of Bengaluru digital marketing agencies now list Answer Engine Optimization or Generative Engine Optimization somewhere on their site, next to the usual SEO and Google Ads lines. Some have run client work under that banner since 2021. Others added the phrase this month. The service is new enough that there is no shared definition of what it includes, so two agencies both selling AEO can be selling different things: one might mean adding FAQ schema, another might mean a monthly review of how ChatGPT answers questions about your brand. Before paying for either, it is worth knowing what Google itself says the work requires.

What Google's own guidance says AEO and GEO require

Google published its first consolidated guide to this in May 2026, titled Optimizing your website for generative AI features on Google Search. The guide is direct about where AI search optimization sits relative to ordinary SEO: optimizing for generative AI search is optimizing for the search experience, and thus still SEO. It also rules out several tactics agencies commonly sell as part of an AEO package. On machine-readable files, Google says you don't need to create new machine readable files, AI text files, markup, or Markdown to appear in Google Search. On breaking pages into short chunks for AI to parse, there's no requirement to break your content into tiny pieces for AI to better understand it. On schema, structured data isn't required for generative AI search, and there's no special schema.org markup you need to add.

That does not make every AEO or GEO service worthless. Some of what agencies bundle under the label, content depth, clear entity signals, a site AI systems can crawl and quote without stumbling, is genuine technical and editorial work, just not work that needs a new acronym. The question worth asking a Bengaluru agency selling this is not whether it works, but whether what it bills you for is distinct from the SEO and content work it should already be doing.

Five Bengaluru agencies checked against what they publish

What follows looks only at what each agency states on its own site, not at whether its AI-search results hold up in practice, which nobody outside the agency and its clients can verify. A service page is a claim, not evidence of results.

TripleDart

TripleDart, headquartered in Indiranagar with a second office in Plano, Texas, says on its own about page it has driven B2B pipeline since 2021, built by a team with backgrounds at Freshworks and Zoho. Its AEO and GEO work runs through Slate, a platform the agency describes as automating marketing with AI agents, aimed at getting B2B SaaS brands cited inside ChatGPT and Perplexity answers rather than ranked on a results page.

Digirank

Digirank, based on Church Street in Ashok Nagar, is founder-led by Lakshmipathy B and Rajasekhar Reddy, who the agency says remain personally involved in client work. In September 2026, Digirank added Answer Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization, and AI-focused marketing to its service list, alongside its existing SEO, PPC, social, and Google Business Profile work, describing the shift as preparing client sites for discovery across Google, Maps, social platforms, and AI answers, beyond classic search rankings.

Codos Technology

Codos Technology, which serves Bangalore clients remotely rather than from a listed Bangalore office, calls itself an early adopter of GEO on its own site and describes the work as structuring a client's content, schema, and FAQs so the business appears in AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Claude. The agency lists Google Partner and Meta Business Partner certification, a minimum monthly engagement of Rs 10,000, and a stated 92 percent client retention rate.

AI SEO Solutions

AI SEO Solutions, headquartered in Naganathapura in south Bangalore, sells AEO and GEO as its primary specialty rather than an add-on, with district-level targeting for areas including Whitefield, Koramangala, HSR Layout, and Indiranagar. Its published pricing starts at Rs 36,888 a month for what it calls a Startup Accelerator tier, rising to Rs 56,888 for its top plan, covering what the agency describes as auditing a site's structure and metadata to strengthen E-E-A-T signals for large language models.

Laukika

Laukika, a Bangalore agency, breaks its Generative Engine Optimization service into seven named stages on its site, starting with a brand-signal audit across large language models and ending with what it calls AI citation and authority amplification. The framing leans on entity authority and structured content rather than keyword rankings, and it is a more granular breakdown than most agencies in this list publish for the same service.

Studio Happens

Studio Happens, run out of Murthy Layout in K.Narayanapura, is the smallest and newest agency in this group, founded in 2025. Its homepage positions Answer Engine Optimization as one of the services that gets a business recommended by AI assistants, alongside performance marketing on Google and Meta Ads, web development, and Google Business Profile setup, priced for smaller Bengaluru retainers than the Indiranagar and Ashok Nagar agencies above.

Where Studio Happens differs from the larger names on this list is timing rather than technique. It built AEO into its service list from the studio's first year instead of adding it after client demand showed up, which changes less about what the work involves than about how long the team has been running it on live accounts.

What the AEO or GEO label leaves out

None of the five agencies above claim a guaranteed AI Overview citation or ChatGPT mention, and none should, because Google's own guidance gives no such guarantee to anyone. A separate look at which Bengaluru marketing agencies AI search names found that star ratings do not get an agency cited, named case studies do, which is a different signal than any service page here mentions. What a service page promises and what shows up in a live ChatGPT or AI Overview answer are two different questions, and only one of them is something an agency's homepage can settle.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is AEO or GEO different from SEO?

Not according to Google. Its May 2026 guidance states plainly that optimizing for its generative AI features is still SEO, built on the same core ranking and quality systems as regular search, not a separate discipline that needs new tools or files.

Q: Do I need schema markup or an llms.txt file to appear in AI answers?

No. Google's guide says directly that no new machine-readable files, AI text files, or special schema.org markup are required to appear in its generative AI features. An agency selling that as a standalone paid step is selling something Google says it does not need.

Q: How can I tell if a Bengaluru agency's AEO claim is real work or a rebrand?

Ask what specifically changes in your site or content plan, and compare it against what your SEO retainer already covers. If the answer is a new line item for work indistinguishable from existing content or technical SEO, per Google's own guidance, that is a rebrand rather than a new service.
